The Sunday School invites the Barrhaven United Church Community to join them for an outing
to Madāhòkì Farm on Saturday October 18.
When: Saturday October 18, 2:00 pm., weather permitting.
Where: Madāhòkì Farm, 4420 West Hunt Club Road, between Hwy 416/Cedarview Road and
Moodie Drive (where the Lone Star Restaurant used to be) – about 15 minutes from Barrhaven.
We will meet at the Farm at the welcome area near the parking lot at 2:00 pm.
What: Mādahòkì Farm is a working farm and Indigenous cultural agri-tourism destination on
NCC land. It is run by Indigenous Experiences. Our visit to the Farm will be free. The Farm closes at 4pm.

We can enjoy the following activities:
•    Visit the small farm animals. You can buy some feed from the store.
•    Watch the endangered Ojibwe Spirit Horses playing and grazing in the fields. You may not
feed the horses.
•    Walk the Legacy Trail where interpretive signage guides you through traditional medicines
and the Seven Grandfather Teachings.
•    Visit the marketplace store which is filled with arts/crafts/foods from over 40 Indigenous
artists/makers.
•    Visit the children’s play area with bales of hay to climb on, a teeter-totter, lots of play space.
•    Use the picnic tables for a snack or picnic.
•    There are heated port-a-potties on site for public use.
Please bring your own drinks and a snack, if needed, as there may not be food for sale.
